Ladies and Gentlemen;
Welcome to the Whisk's Official Salvation Army Benefit Raffle!
The many wonderful Whisk members have decided to put together a raffle to help those who were hit by Hurricane Katrina. We all talked about how we would love to donate our handmade products to benefit those in need after the
occurrence
of Hurricane Katrina. Well... we have found a way to help without having to give money. Many wonderful members at the Whisk have already promised items as a contribution to the Raffle. To help raise money for the Salvatin Army and the people they are assisting in this time of need. The Raffle drawing will be held online at the Whisk on October 20th 2005 at 8 pm est. time. We will be accepting hand made contributions for the Raffle until October 16th 2005.

Hurricane Katrina left much of the city under water. Officials called for a mandatory evacuation of the city, but many residents remained in the city and had to be rescued from flooded homes and hotels.
After seeing the above images, and hearing how horribly this Monster of a Hurricane left all of it's survivors. We hope you will agree that we had to step in and try to help the victims of Katrina!
- The tickets are $1.00 each but they must be purchased is packets of 5.
- That means you must spend a minimum of $5.00.
- For that $5.00 you will have 5 chances to win a prize.
- You may purchase as many packets of tickets as you want.
- You may purchase tickets until October 20th at 12:00 am
EST.
- Payment for tickets must be made through Pay Pal.
- It only takes a minute to sign up for Pay Pal and it’s free.
- I’d like to take a minute to reassure you about your donation. Olivia has set things up so that every time a donation is made
three people will be notified automatically: Olivia, Coconutgurl and BrAnSpls,
to assure that 100% of your donations will be recorded and forwarded
to the Salvation Army at the end of this raffle.
- Anybody may participate. Whisk members and others alike.
- Keep in mind that while the raffle is open to all members,
the prizes may generate considerable expenses in shipping fees
for those who live outside the US.
- Any shipping charges are the responsibility of the donor.
- The Pay Pal form now includes a message box. Please include your name, address and zip code when you purchase your tickets.
- You can also buy for others. Please notify us about it then.
- Even if you have donated a prize you will still be able to purchase tickets.
- We want to be able to give the Salvation Army for New Orleans Refugees a large amount so please buy plenty!
Coconutgurl will be drawing names on October 20th at 8 pm est. time.
When you purchase your tickets we will be keeping up with your “tickets”.
This is a virtual raffle so the need for keeping track of a ticket is our responsibility.
Winners will be notified after the drawing.
At that time, any details you need to redeem the prize will be included.
In most cases, your prize will be coming directly from the supplier or member who donated it.
Shipping will be the donor's responsibility.
Can you win more than one prize?
Yes. It is possible to win two prizes!
Coconutgurl will first award prizes that have been donated by suppliers.
If you win more than one prize in this “round” you will be awarded the prize with the highest retail value.
If you win more than one prize of equal value she will award the prize alphabetically by supplier name.
Coconutgurl will then draw for
member-donated
prizes.
These will be drawn in the order they were donated in.
You may only win one time in this round.
If your name should be pulled out again it would simply be set aside and she will draw again.
We will be adding to this list of donations as we hear from folks.
